This is the best puberty book I've come across so far. Topics are explained on a level for pre-teens just on the onset of puberty. I like that this book deals with the biology of adolescent's changing body more than the sexual and social aspects of growing up. It encourages pre-teens to understand their own bodies and how it works, and does not focus on the boyfriend/girlfriend problems that older teens may have. It describes body changes and anatomy thoroughly but not overly graphic by using cartoon illustrations. There is also a boy section and a girl section in the book for their specific gender development that they may encounter. The book is an excellent springboard for opening discussion on body changes with your child.
